SECURITY DEPOSIT: Reservation dates are confirmed upon receipt of Security Deposit ($500.00) and signing of the Rental Contract. The Security Deposit Payment shall be paid in cash, check or money order to the Friends of He'eia State Park. If all conditions are met the
Security Deposit will be refunded within approximately 30 days after the party. If any violations are encountered funds will be deducted from the $500.00. There is a NO CANCELLATION POLICY. Therefore, if your party is cancelled, you will not be refunded your Security Deposit.
RENTAL FEE: The rental fee includes the use of the hall, kitchen, tables and chairs, parking lot, grounds. Rental fee can be paid in installments (cash, check or money order) as long as the full amount is received 30 days prior to the function. Late payments and cancelled/returned checks will be assessed a $25.00 fine.
TABLES AND CHAIRS: Luau tables (2' x 8') and folding metal chairs are included in the rental fee, and may only be used inside the banquet hall. Tables seat 8 to 10 people. All tables and chairs are located within the building for your convenience. Approximately 40 tables and 300 chairs are available. Please note that the Friends do not guarantee a specific amount of tables and chairs.
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES: May be served in plastic glasses/cups within the Visitors Center Hall, NOT ON PARK GROUNDS, and shall be in accordance with all applicable County/City/State ordinances, rules and regulations. NO BOTTLES OR GLASS!
HPD SPECIAL DUTY OFFICERS: If alcohol is to be served, an HPD Special Duty Officer will need to be hired at the renter's expense to provide appropriate safety and security oversight throughout the event. This will be scheduled through the Friends of He'eia.
RUBBISH/GARBAGE REMOVAL: The Renter shall be responsible for the removal of all rubbish/garbage from the premises and surrounding park area. However, a dumpster on park grounds for an additional cost.
KITCHEN FACILITIES: Sinks, hot water, counter space and some refrigeration are available. Cooking with butane burners is allowed. NO IMUS OR FIRES are allowed on the Park grounds due to State of Hawaii regulations.
ADDITIONAL:
1) The Renter is responsible for ALL set up and clean up of his/her party. Basic cleaning supplies are provided.
2) The erection of any tents, bouncers, tarpaulins, or any other temporary structures is strictly prohibited.
3) The use of staples, nails, or tacks for decorations are not allowed. Alternatives include tape and string.
4) No animal rides or exhibits are allowed on the park grounds.
5) Closing time will be clocked when the Building Manager closes the Park gate after the last person leaves the parking lot. The Renter will be charged $50.00 per hour or a fraction thereof after the stated rental period.
6) Any other damages to the facilities, park grounds (including plants & trees) or to the properties of the Friends of He'eia will be assessed an appropriate fine. FINES WILL BE GIVEN FOR ANY VIOLATIONS!
